Travelers can be vaccinated against some diseases. The selection of vaccines for a particular trip depends on the specific health of the country to visit and endemic diseases affecting them, the characteristics of the trip (not the same risks in an adventure travel or an organized one and it’s different from a trip to a rural area to one in an urban area), the duration of the trip, the overall health situation of the traveler himself and the available time before departure.

TAKE CARE WITH WHAT YOU EAT

Diarrhea is the most common disease when international travelling. The best way to protect yourself is to carefully select and prepare foods and beverages. Do not eat raw vegetables. Special attention to the salads. Meats and fish should be eaten cooked enough. Do not eat raw shellfish (clams, mussels, cockles, clams, etc.).. Eat only peeled or washed fruit with clean water for human consumption and a few drops of bleach. Pay special attention to the bakery and ice cream for its easy contamination, not to be consumed without milk or milk sanitize derivatives.

BEWARE OF THE WATER

Bearing in mind that water is a major transmitter of infectious diseases, it is advisable to drink only water providing sufficient guarantees or bottled water which should be opened in your presence. Do not allow ice cubes in drinks because they can be prepared with contaminated water. Due to the climate in tropical countries, it is advisable to drink plenty of fluids. They offer greater security and safety for their processing, soft drinks and bottled drinks as well as hot drinks, such as tea or coffee, because of the temperature they reach.
